Accidentally double Imported theme

I accidentally double imported a theme in wordpress, due to this my website got destroyed because an old theme is over mine. I am now trying to use my back-up file. Despite of trying that, the old theme is still implemented. Does someone know how to use a backup file from a my host. I also have my backups in .tar.bz2 files. How do I install a backup?
