Custom search filter / Geolocate

Is it possible to customize the search form? I would like for example to use checkboxes in the search form instead of drop down menus (to be able to choose more different attributes).

Also, is it possible to implement geolocation in the search form? For example I would like to show the customer the location of the nearest tours?
